Rising tensions between the Middle East’s two most powerful militaries, Israel and Iran, are fueling fears that the region could be on the brink of the most significant conflict in the century.

In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Israel launched a sweeping military operation targeting key Iranian infrastructure early Friday.

Kum Crisis Management Center Spokesman Murtaza Haydari said that 4 Revolutionary Guard soldiers were killed and 2 were injured in the Israeli attack on the Martyr Mustafa Khomeini Barracks in the city of Kum. Speaking to Tasnim News Agency, Haydari provided information on the subject. Haydari said, "About an hour ago, Israel attacked the Martyr Mustafa Khomeini Barracks with missile-like ammunition. 4 Revolutionary Guard soldiers were killed and 2 people were injured." It is stated that multiple attacks have been carried out on the same barracks in recent days, and that there have also been casualties in these attacks.
